The album was recorded in Los Angeles between 2012 and 2013. Dr. Luke served as the album's executive producer with additional production and songwriting by Max Martin, Will.i.am, Pitbull, The Jam and The Cataracs.

- "Play It Again" was released on May 6, 2013, as the lead single from Play It Again but it's considered as promotional single.
- "Can't Get Enough" was released as the EP's second single on May 29, 2014, which is featurring vocals of Pitbull. A Spanish version of the song was released May 1, 2014.
